London-based illustrator Carim Nahaboo makes some fantastic invertebrate illustrations.
At first glance, it would be easy to mistake some of his illustrations for photographs. The level of detail and realism would make these pieces invaluable reference material, let alone gorgeous pieces of work worthy of your wall. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see more of Carim’s work in field guides or museums in the future.

There is a profound degree of respect and curiosity detectable in Carim’s work. In his own words, “Drawing, as a way of recording and understanding the world, tangible or not, has been a constant necessity from an early age. The fascination of varied recording techniques goes hand in hand with an equal passion for the natural world.“
If you like Carim’s work as much as I do, be sure to check out his website, Facebook feed, and Instagram for more great illustrations! If you have some spare wall space, several of his prints are even available for purchase.
