I’m a sucker for great infographics and National Geographic really took the cake with this one.

Published back in 2008, Sean McNaughton and Samuel Velasco made this fantastic infographic detailing 200 lunar, solar, and interplanetary missions.

With so many missions and so many locations, finding the best way to legibly present the data must have been a challenge, but they did a fantastic job. The result is simple, elegant, and profound.  This is how you win the game of awesome information.
